What affects landscaping and hardscape pricing?
Two outdoor areas of the same size can require different work. Existing vegetation, elevation changes, drainage, base preparation, material choices and delivery access all influence the final scope. Sunny Days prepares project-based quotes after reviewing the property details.
Six details to plan
- Area: approximate length, width and total square footage.
- Existing conditions: grass, roots, rock, concrete or other material that may need removal.
- Preparation: excavation, grading, compaction, base material or landscape fabric.
- Materials: pavers, decorative rock, mulch, plants, edging or retaining-wall components.
- Water flow: low areas, roof runoff and drainage concerns that should be addressed before the finish.
- Access and cleanup: delivery path, equipment width, hauling and final site cleanup.
Project-based service, not routine mowing
Sunny Days focuses on improvements such as flower beds, decorative rock, mulch, pavers, hardscape and related site preparation. Routine lawn mowing is not offered.
What to include in the request
Send wide photos, approximate measurements and reference images when you have a preferred style. Explain how you want to use the finished area and identify standing water or access restrictions. Photos taken after rain can be useful when drainage affects the project.
How to compare proposals
Check whether removal, hauling, base preparation, materials, installation, grading and cleanup are listed. A material-only comparison can miss the work needed underneath the finished surface.
